The song in the link that i really want you all to listen to is called "Many of Honor". A friend of mine showed it to me and I instantly fell in love with it.  The lyrics in this song are outstanding and deep. "When we collide we come together". wow. I wanted to post this 3 days ago but i couldnt muster up the motivation to type out the words. Finally, i gave the song another listen and decided it could'nt wait. I really hope you like this song as much as i do.

Reviving the Blog.

This week's song is actually kind of popular, ranking #2 on the iTunes music charts. I really love it though.

Pumped Up Kicks

So, the song is called Pumped Up Kicks and it's by Foster The People. I really like it because it's not like what's usually on the top of iTunes' charts. It's got a really summer-y style to it but when you take a listen to the lyrics, you'll notice how..split.. the song is. I say split because if you dont listen to the words, you'd think that it's a happy little summer song when in reality, it's about somebody killing a bunch of people.

I enjoy the song mainly because of how damn catchy it is. I hope you find some reason to love it too.

Chester See's voice is brilliant. The scratchy-ness of it is totally unique. Usually you might find a voice like this on a girl (like Adele for example), but Chester really makes it work. I bought this song on itunes for myself because of how much I enjoy it. I have yet to find someone with a voice that matches the magnitude of Chester See's.

This song sounds so..... pure. It makes me feel stronger. I think that this song is one of the best that i have heard in a while. It makes me wish that i could sing (which will never be likely to happen). I discovered it while watching a Television show called 'Bones' on Netflix.

The quality of Radin's voice here is so raw that it makes it so that the vocals themselves could make this song great. I recomend you savor this song because there wont be more like it out for a while.

A genre

Instead of a single song, I want to recomend you to a genre of music that i discovered through my father...
Before you freak out and decide that this will be totally lame because old people have no taste, keep in mind that my dad has kick ass speakers in his car, which makes him cool.

The genre is called Grunge alternative. Also refered to as 90's alternative. If your interested in checking the genre out, i would recomend making your way to Pandora.

The Moog is a band i randomly discovered on youtube. If they don't sound english to you, i must be on crack. Go on and check them out. They sound special. I havn't heard anything like it in a while so this is refreshing.

Anberlin is a good band. I Especially like the feel good drag. It's not like i dont doubt you have already heard of them. They are pretty popular but i wanted to bring your attention to them.

Their sound is kind of Offspring-ish. (offspring) I am okay with this because their style is...or used to be unique. Even know Anberlin is copying the offsprings sound, it's okay because the lyrics are original.

I think im in love...
This song alone is absolutly brilliant. Those of us who have watched Gossip Girl on The CW will recognize Jenny (Taylor Momsen) as the lead singer here.
This sound in the voice seems so adult but the lyrics and the music are no doubt meant for the younger population. I would recomend this song to anyone. as a matter of fact, i think i might just waltz on over to FYE and buy the CD.

Anyway, this band is one of my favorites. I have a load of their songs on my iPod and i sit there jammin' out on it 24/7. I don't even know why this band appeals to me so much. I think that their sound has been done before but i feel like they were the first. The best music is the kind that you can headbang to and that is no doubt TBS.

So, even though you might find their sound cliche, check them out and see if you like.

Flogging Molly is OKAY. I personally am not a big fan. Even though they aren't my favorite, there will always be a place in my heart for them. Flogging Molly was introduced to me by a friend who has a very odd taste in music...
Anyway, Flogging Molly is an Irish rock band and if im not mistaking, the term 'flogging molly' is slang for....'jacking off' if you will.

oooh boy, (not to sound pervy) i really love this band. Especially this song. It has brilliant lyrics and it sounds like a million bucks. My sister put this song on my iPod when limewire was still here. I immediatly fell in love with it. I'll be honest. I haven't really listened to their other songs but I figured, hey, this song is amazing. There has to other songs like it by them.

Aah, Hawthorn Hights. I love them. They sound "cliche" as my dear friend E would say. But I think their sound is strangly unique and refreshing. a FANTASTIC new blog.

It would be the right thing to welcome you to this brand spankin' new blog  with open arms. Unfortunatly, I am not well know for necessarily doing the "right" thing. Instead, I will attempt to get you do the smart thing and get you to click that little follow button.

Let me start by pointing out that "artists" such as Justin Beiber and Ke$ha are not musicians. They are voices that are put through machines.
